DÍA 01 EN NYC / DAY 01 IN NYC

"Dicen que la mejor manera de conocer una ciudad es con alguien que vive aquí. Pero conocerla rodando, trabajando, es la polla. Te hace ser parte de ella". Héctor.
Una forma perfecta de describir la sensación del reparto acerca de estar donde estamos, haciendo lo que hacemos.

Acabamos de terminar el primer día en NYC y... me esfuerzo segundo a segundo por pensar que estoy rodando la historia que quería en la ciudad que quería, en lugares donde he estado mil veces paseando pero que nunca mostré con una cámara.

Financial District, East River (FDR), Staten Island Ferry, Union Square... lugares que son parte de una vida aquí y que a lo tonto estoy compartiendo con tod@s.

Ha sido un día realmente bueno, con muchas escenas (9 en total), 31 planos, un equipo impresionante y dos TREMENDOS ACTORES.

Tenía muchísimas ganas de volver a trabajar con Sally y bueno... estoy sobrepasado por ella y su trabajo. Y es la primera vez que coincidía con Héctor y ya en el primer plano que hemos rodado, un PG LATERAL de los dos, ha quedado patente que esta pareja FUNCIONA.

Mañana el tiempo el tiempo se pone juguetón así que a escondernos en el metro...
Así que, allí vamos!!

A beautiful way of describing a feeling from the cast about where we are and what we're doing.

We just ended our first day in NYC and... I'm trying to think I'm shooting the story I wanted to tell in the city where I needed, places I've walked by a thousand times but never put in front of a camera.

Financial District, East River (FDR), Staten Island Ferry, Union Square... Places which are an important part of my life here and I'm sharing with all of you.

It's being a really good day, 9 scenes, 31 shots, an amazing crew and TWO AWESOME ACTORS.

I needed to work with Sally once again and... well, I'm overwhelmed. 

And it's the first time with she and Hector and as soon as we shot the first EWS I saw this couple WORKS 100%.

Tomorrow the weather forces us to go underground and hide ourselves in the subway...
