Posiblemente la mayor verdad que se ha dicho sobre un equipo de rodaje de cualquier producción cinematográfica es que al final del camino todos nos convertimos en otra cosa distinta a la que comenzamos... en todos los sentidos.
Te encuentras compartiendo día sí y día también con alguien a quien querías muchísimo y acabas debiéndole tanto que ese cariño se antoja más que insuficiente.
Personas que apenas conoces se convierten en tus máximos protectores, aquell@s que te dicen: "tú céntrate en hacer tu película que de eso me ocupo yo".
Ves que se sube al barco gente con la que normalmente no haces más que reírte y despreocuparte y acaban convirtiéndose en quienes te solucionan marrones.
Te apoyas en la persona que te resulta indispensable y vuelves comprendiendo que ese adjetivo se queda corto.
Alguien a quien consideras un amigo con el que has compartido algunos viajes parecidos es ahora un hermano por el que hacer puenting aun teniendo vértigo.
Encuentras la comprensión donde no esperabas que existiera.
Recibes respuestas del estilo a "yo estoy aquí para trabajar, tú me has llamado para eso" por parte de quien un dolor de espalda apenas le permite sentarse.
Escuchas como admiran una forma de trabajo tan intensa cuando la mayor admiración es de ti hacia ell@s por hacer suyos algo que ni siquiera han leído.
Ves como la dedicación hacia un personaje te abruma por la capacidad de levantar algo tan complejo.
Te piden perdón por un retraso en la preparación de un plano cuando estás flipando por la capacidad de hacer tanto con tan poco.
Te ves en la necesidad de repartir abrazos a quien prácticamente acabas de conocer.
Reconoces sonrisas en situaciones de frío polar.
Recibes confianza cuando te ahogan las dudas.
Un viaje empieza siendo un viaje y acaba siendo algo diferente, a veces mejor, a veces peor, pero siempre diferente.
Personalmente este, el de "NYC", ha sido el viaje más importante de mi vida: no por ser la primera película, ni por ser la historia que quería y necesitaba contar, sino porque estas dos condiciones solo se podía cumplir con un nivel de compromiso y dedicación que nunca se podrían pagar con comida y abrazos.
Y vosotr@s sois quienes lo habéis hecho posible, y por vosotr@s este ha sido el viaje más importante.
Por eso no puedo llamaros ya compañer@s de viaje, sois MI FAMILIA, y yo soy de los que a la familia les digo tres cosas:
1) Para lo que necesites, ya sabes.
2) MILLONES DE GRACIAS.
3) Nos vemos en muy poquito.

The biggest truth about the crew and cast of any production is that we all become in something different than we started... in every way.
You work with people who don't know you at all and they become in those ones you miss when they don't have to come to the set.
You find yourself sharing every day with someone you love and at the end of the day that feeling is not enough to give him/her back what they've done for you.
People you barely know say things like this to you: "you put all your energies on make your film and let me handle that problem".
You see how people who usually is the one who you spend your time laughing become in those who fix any situation.
You lean on someone who is essential for you and you learn that word is not enough to explain how you feel about her/him.
A friend of you, someone who has shared other journeys with you, is now the one who you would do bungee jumping for, even when you suffer vertigo.
You find understanding where you didn't expected.
People say to you: "I'm here to work, that's why you called me", and he/she has a back pain that is barely able to sit on a step.
You hear people saying that they like that way of working but it's you who admire them because they have made this story as yours.
You feel overwhelmed for ac actress/actor and her/his devotion to her/his role.
They say they're sorry for being late on set the lights but you are flipping out with that ability to build something with such a lack of equipment.
You need to share hugs to whom you just meet.
You see smiles when it's freezing out there.
You receive trust when you're surrounded by doubts.
A journey starts as a journey but it becomes in something different, sometimes better, sometimes worse, but always different.
I have to say that "NYC" has been the most important journey of my entire life: not because of is the first feature film or because of the story I wanted and needed to tell but because the only way of making it real is because of you all and that indescribable commitment you made.
You all made this project came true and because of you all, this has been the most important journey of all my life.
That's why I can't call you journey mates anymore, now you all are MY FAMILY, and I'm the one who used to say three things to family:
1) Whatever and whenever you need anything, here I am.
2) TONES OF THANKS
3) See you in a bit.
