Bueno, pues una semana después, con casi 4000km en los hombros, volvemos de ese rincón incomparable (en muchos sentidos) que es el festival francés.
Han sido unos días que han tenido dos resultados básicos:
1) Se nos ha quedado el cerebro como una pasa...
2) 28 agentes tienen en sus manos el material promocional de la película...
Sería una soberana gilipollez decir que a tod@ aquel/a a quien nos acercamos nos besaron los pies y se arrodillaron ante nuestra presencia por el maravilloso material que llevamos en nuestras preciosas maletas.
Pues no.
Hay de todo.
Incluso me hizo ilusión cuando Filmax nos dijo que estaban interesados en producciones con un presupuesto base de 1.000.000 de euros. Ya vendremos un día de estos. Pero aún así nos pidieron el material (toma!).
La realidad es que algunos se escapaban de nuestras posibilidades, otros estaban solo para vender pero al final, el GRANDÍSIMO TRABAJO de mi amada Carmen ha conseguido que nos volvamos con 28 distribuidoras/agentes de ventas interesados en nuestro material.
Lo que nos ha quedado muy claro es que tenemos mercado para la película más allá de los festivales a cuya puerta esperamos empezar a llamar una vez pase el verano así que ahora toca currar durante la fresquita en una pospo que, aunque no lo parezca, va a ser divertida para la peña de sonido, música y efectos.
Pero eso será dentro de unos días porque Cannes también me ha dejado una cosa clara y es que tengo el cerebro frito, vamos que si no hubiera sido porque Carmen estaba allí para hacer todo el trabajo, y que Tappy y Alex aportaban tranquilidad, apoyo, risas y glamour, mucho glamour... lo mismo hubiera acabado flotando en una de esas playas.
En cualquier caso, si me lo permites, cierro el chiringuito unos días. A la vuelta más.

So here we're back. A week and 4000km later, we're back home from that unique -in a lot of senses- place: Festival de Cannes.
We got 2 basics ideas from there:
1) We are exhausted.
2) 28 agents have our promotional material on their hands.
It would be a lie saying something like: they all loved to talk to us.
Yep. It wouldn't be the truth.
We saw everything.
A spanish sales agent told us they didn't take any project with a budget under a million euros. Someday. They asked us for sending our promos to them anyway -well done team!-.
The truth is some of them were out of our range, some where there only to sell their own projects, but at the end of the day -and because of the AMAZING JOB made by Carmen- we've come back with 28 distribuitors/sales agent who are trully interested in our movie.
What we do know after this week over there is we have a market for our project beyond the festivals where we're looking forward to send the final cut of the movie on september or so.
This means we have a funny summer in front of us and people of sound, music and visual effects will have fun.
But that's something will take place in a few days cause on these days at Cannes I've realized I need to rest for a couple days. Actually, if Carmen wouldn't have been there doing all the job, and Tappy and Alex who have brought peace, support, laughs and glamour, a lot of glamour... maybe I'd have waken up floating over the sea eventually.
